Act
4:
The final,
and definately hardest act. The beginning of this act almost deserves
to be its own act. An old spookhouse agent, Hamilton Killian, forced
to retire, has requested aid in dealing with a small demon outbreak.
He lives in an enormous estate, and small implike creatures are running
rampant in his graveyard, along with skeletons, which rise minutes after
shot down. Stranger comes and solves an intricate black-magic puzzle,
which although tedious, is far below the abilities of the retired monster
hunter. Suspicious, Stranger accuses Killian of foul play, and is
consequently spirited away somewhere.
The screen
opens with Stranger in a sealed room with a chained werewolf. The
room has what appears to be the body of his (ex-)partner Moloch.
The entire house proves to be a monster-torture palace riddled with traps
and puzzles. It features a dungeon complete with rack, fire bed,
and guillitine, a grandiose stairway with vampiress-guards, an electric
floor, secret passageways, mind-puzzles, bad opera music, an elevator shaft
(no elevator), and even a naked woman (really!). All this with only
a claw-like spear for a weapon. It would appear that Killian has
lost his mind, and is sending Stranger through this hell-house to test
him. It's got a surprise ending.. wouldn't want to spoil you though.....
